Helen Flanagan, former Coronation Street star, has candidly shared the emotional journey that led her to undergo a breast enlargement procedure, revealing the deep personal struggles she faced with body image and her experiences with motherhood.
In a video posted to Instagram, Flanagan, 34, donned a lace pink and leopard-print lingerie set as she spoke openly about her decision to enhance her appearance. The video, which begins with a close-up showcasing her flawless makeup, then zooms out to reveal her figure in suspenders and garters.
Flanagan took the opportunity to address the frequently asked question about her breast augmentation, shedding light on the impact of motherhood and her body’s transformation over time. “I get asked a lot about my boob job in my DMs,” she began. She reflected on her breastfeeding journey, which saw her nourish three children over the span of three years with ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair. “By the end, you could have tied my boobs in a bow… though I have no regrets at all in breastfeeding my babies,” she said, alongside emojis of hearts and sparkles.
The actress revealed that she sought out Pall Mall Cosmetics for her surgery, where she underwent a breast enlargement procedure under the expertise of Dr. Hussain. “I felt in good hands and didn’t have to undergo a lift, as the implants naturally lifted my breasts,” Flanagan shared, emphasizing her satisfaction with the results.
Helen also opened up about the changes to her body following her 2022 breakup with Sinclair, after a 13-year relationship. She explained how significant weight loss after the breakup led her to seek the procedure, despite initially fearing her breasts might be too large for her frame. “I needed them to fill out the skin that needed lifting. Now they are just perfect for my frame and feel very natural, like my boobs before my kids,” she said.
In her post, Flanagan also addressed her ongoing struggles with body image, revealing that she has faced challenges with eating since the age of 16 and has battled an eating disorder. “I cried a lot because of how breastfeeding impacted my body confidence,” she admitted.
Reflecting on her feelings prior to the surgery, Flanagan recalled times when she felt self-conscious, especially in the presence of her ex-fiancé. “I remember crying in the shower after feeding Delilah because I just didn’t feel like me. I was so self-conscious of my boobs and how the skin sagged, even though their dad always said I was beautiful,” she revealed. She added that she chose to wait until after her youngest child, Charlie, was born before pursuing the surgery.
