Country singer and One Tree Hill alum Jana Kramer has opened up about her plastic surgery decisions, revealing that her motivation for undergoing breast augmentation was rooted in a desire to stop her ex-husband from cheating. In a candid conversation on her podcast Whine Down, Kramer shared her emotional journey and regrets surrounding the procedure.
The discussion began when guest Kristen Brust expressed interest in a breast reduction and lift, prompting Kramer to offer her perspective. “I don’t find it superficial at all in wanting to get a lift so that you can have that confidence,” Kramer remarked. She clarified that while people don’t “need” the procedure, it’s okay to pursue it for personal reasons.
However, the conversation took a personal turn when Kramer reflected on her own decision to get breast implants. “My biggest regret with my boobs is that I don’t know if I solely did it for me,” she admitted. “It has to be 100 percent for you,” she advised listeners, emphasizing that self-motivation should be the key driver in such decisions.
Kramer explained that her choice was influenced by the struggles in her marriage to former NFL player Mike Caussin. “I was in a marriage where my husband was cheating all the time,” Kramer shared. “I would see the women he was cheating with, and I thought, ‘I look nothing like them.'” In a bid to regain his affection, she entertained the idea that larger breasts might make her more appealing. “Maybe if I had bigger boobs, he wouldn’t cheat… or he’d find me sexier,” she said.
After her divorce in 2021, following years of infidelity tied to Caussin’s sex addiction, Kramer came to see the surgery as a decision she made for herself. “After the two kids, they just sagged really bad,” she explained. “Certain things just didn’t go back to looking the same.” Despite the initial sense of insecurity, Kramer believes the surgery was finally a step she took for her own confidence.
Looking back, however, Kramer expressed a desire to reverse the implants. “I would actually like to take out my implants and just lift them again. I kind of want it to be more natural,” she said. “When that time comes, I don’t think I would put them back in.”
Kramer and Caussin divorced after six years of marriage, sharing two children: Jolie, 9, and Jace, 6.
