Lorenzo Giannuzzi, the CEO of Sardinia’s renowned Forte Village resort, has launched a new medical wellness retreat in Fiuggi, Italy. The retreat, located in a sprawling 8-hectare park famous for its healing mineral waters, is called Palazzo Fiuggi Wellness Medical Retreat.
The retreat combines holistic approaches with Western medicine and nutrition. It offers five personalized programs: Complete Life Rewind, Optimal Weight, Mindful Movement, Deep Detox, and Immuno Boost. Each program integrates Fiuggi’s mineral water and features a range of treatments, from traditional Ayurveda to advanced touchless therapies.
After undergoing a careful restoration, the 102-room hotel has reopened with a 6,000-square-meter wellness center. Designed by architects Mario Dal Molin and Claudia Manunta, the center is equipped by the Gharieni Group.
The retreat features a wellness and spa area, medical spa, and beauty clinic. It includes 21 treatment rooms, eight beauty cabins, one private spa suite, and six medical rooms.
Thorsten Lipfert, an industry expert, is overseeing the retreat’s operations during its pre-opening phase. He collaborated with GOCO Hospitality during the initial planning stages.
Professor David Della Morte Canosci, the medical and scientific director at Palazzo Fiuggi, claims that the resort sets a new global standard for medical wellness retreats. The retreat offers various medical wellness and fitness diagnostics, as well as unique experiences.
In keeping with its Roman roots, the spa includes a 700-square-meter Roman bath area, along with two hammams, a sauna, steam room, and an experience shower by Stenal. Additionally, there are two thalasso pools supplied with Fiuggi mineral water, a plunge pool, and various fitness facilities.
Palazzo Fiuggi also emphasizes nutrition with a specialized menu designed to promote anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant benefits by activating cellular pathways.
