The Société Française de Cosmétologie (SFC), in collaboration with L’Oréal Research & Innovation, has announced the third edition of its Sustainability Challenge. The event will take place on 16 September 2025 during the 35th International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC) Congress in Cannes, France.
This competition invites start-ups and academic teams to propose innovative and eco-friendly solutions for the cosmetics industry. The goal is to promote new technologies and practices that support the sector’s move towards greater sustainability.
Eight finalists will be selected to present their projects in front of a global audience. This includes industry leaders, researchers, and investors attending the IFSCC Congress.
The winner will be awarded a one-year membership to the SFC. This includes access to the IFSCC website and promotional support through IFSCC’s social media channels. Additionally, the winner will receive a ticket to the IFSCC Congress 2026 in Australia, giving them more visibility in the global cosmetics community.
The Sustainability Challenge offers a valuable opportunity for emerging innovators. It connects them with major brands, suppliers, and researchers, all while promoting sustainable practices in beauty and personal care.
