Cosmetic surgery is no longer a hidden topic in Bollywood, with several stars opting for procedures to enhance their appearance. While some celebrities, like Khushi Kapoor, have openly discussed going under the knife, many others remain silent on the matter.
Dr. Vikram Singh Rathore, a well-known cosmetic surgeon, recently spoke about the trend in an interview on Siddharth Kannan’s YouTube channel. He shared insights into what treatments are popular among his Bollywood clientele.
“My female clients focus heavily on their appearance,” Dr. Rathore said. “They want to fix facial blemishes, sagging skin, and double chins. Liposuction and body contouring are also common. Many ask for breast lifts or reductions, rhinoplasty (nose surgery), and blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). Their goal is to look younger and stay camera-ready.”
He also highlighted the rising popularity of the “mommy makeover”—a combination of surgeries designed to restore a woman’s body after pregnancy. “This includes breast uplift, tummy tuck, and liposuction,” he explained. “Actresses often worry their careers are over after having children and may even fall into depression. These procedures help them regain confidence.”
Despite the growing acceptance of cosmetic surgery in the industry, many celebrities still choose to hide it, fearing judgment. This is often due to the stigma and negative comments directed at those who admit to having work done.
Actress Khushi Kapoor, however, has taken a different stance. In a past interview with Curly Tales, she said, “I don’t think it’s such a big deal. People are scared of hate if they admit it, but there’s going to be hate either way. Some think the word ‘plastic’ is an insult, but I don’t believe there’s anything wrong with getting work done.”
Her comments reflect a shift in attitudes among younger celebrities, who are becoming more open about their personal choices when it comes to cosmetic enhancements.
