Unlike traditional LASIK, the SMILE technique preserves corneal integrity, reduces post-operative dry eye symptoms, and significantly shortens recovery time. The laser ablation is completed in just nine seconds, offering greater comfort and procedural efficiency compared to earlier technologies.
