FV Hospital’s Ophthalmology & Refractive Surgery Department has officially launched ClarityX, a cutting-edge laser technology that offers highly personalized vision correction. The system is designed to treat both common and complex vision problems, setting a new benchmark in laser eye surgery.
ClarityX corrects low-order aberrations like nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), and astigmatism. It also treats high-order aberrations—subtle visual imperfections that cause glare, halos, ghosting, and poor contrast. These problems are especially noticeable at night or in low-light settings, making everyday tasks like driving more difficult.
Using advanced Wavefront-Guided technology, ClarityX maps the unique optical characteristics of each patient’s eye. This allows surgeons to create a fully customized treatment plan for each individual, resulting in clearer vision and fewer post-surgery visual side effects.
The process begins with a comprehensive eye exam using high-precision diagnostic tools from Germany and Italy. Devices like the Oculus Corvis ST and Oculus Pentacam AXL analyze the cornea’s strength, shape, and flexibility. Other advanced systems, including the Sirius Topo Tomographer, Schwind Peramis, and Schwind Amaris 1050RS, provide detailed 3D maps and measurements of the eye.
The actual laser procedure is performed with the Schwind Amaris 1050RS, which features 6D eye tracking and a fast pulse rate of 1050Hz. This enables ultra-fast, highly accurate treatments—less than 1.3 seconds per dioptre—with minimal discomfort. The system supports multiple modes of correction, including Aberration-Free, Wavefront-Guided, and Topography-Guided options.
The surgery is bladeless, painless, and allows for noticeable vision improvement within 24 hours.
ClarityX is especially beneficial for people who suffer from night vision problems or work in dimly lit environments. It is also suitable for those who have never had vision correction surgery, or who still experience visual disturbances after previous procedures.
With the introduction of ClarityX, FV Hospital aims to provide one of the most advanced, accurate, and comfortable solutions for vision correction available today.
