On January, 2025, it released an exclusive interview with renowned Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun, offering fans a glimpse into his daily life, work habits, and future ambitions. In the five-minute video, the star of It’s Okay To Not Be Okay and Dream High candidly discussed everything from his skincare secrets to his upcoming projects.
When asked about the key to his youthful appearance, Kim Soo-hyun shared that hydration plays a major role in his skincare routine. “I try to drink lots of water and avoid gaining weight as much as possible. But since I really love eating, that part is a bit challenging. Still, I do my best to take care of myself. Fighting!” he said with a smile.
Reflecting on the highlights of 2024, the actor revealed that his Asia Fan Meeting Tour and the filming of his upcoming drama Queen of Tears were his most memorable moments of the year. “Definitely going on an Asia tour after 10 years and wrapping it up with the final Seoul fan meeting in October. I think that was the most exciting time for me this year. Finishing the filming for Queen of Tears was also great. Fighting!” he added.
When the conversation turned to his filmography, Kim Soo-hyun recalled his favorite scenes, particularly those shot in snowy landscapes. “Dramas with snowy settings come to mind, especially the snowfield scene in [a project he did]. I remember running through the snowfield. And now… it feels like snow will fall soon,” he said.
Looking ahead, the actor expressed his desire to take on more mature roles in the future. Regardless of genre, Kim Soo-hyun shared that he is eager to explore new characters that challenge him as an actor, particularly those with a more adult or sophisticated edge.
In the interview, the actor also discussed how his approach to script analysis has evolved over the years. “I used to directly mark physical scripts, using a ruler to underline and even tearing scene numbers for checking. But this year, while working on [a new project], I embraced modern tools. Now I use my phone to check scripts, underline, and make notes. I’ve become a high-tech person… I’m now the kind of guy who reads scripts on his phone,” he revealed with a chuckle.
As for his upcoming projects, Kim Soo-hyun is preparing for the release of the highly anticipated K-drama Knock Off. Set to premiere in April 2025, the series will see him take on the lead role, alongside Jo Bo-ah, famed for her performance in Destined With You. The drama, which will be released in two parts, each consisting of nine episodes, will be available to stream on Disney+. Fans are eager to see the dynamic duo on-screen, as anticipation for the series builds ahead of its debut.
