A new eye hospital has opened in the heart of Macclesfield, offering expert care for conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and eyelid disorders. Named Clarity, the hospital began welcoming patients on May 8 at its location in The Silkworks on Pickford Street.
Clarity is operated by a team of 10 leading consultant ophthalmologists, each with extensive experience in both NHS and private healthcare. The hospital is equipped with the latest diagnostic and surgical technologies, enabling accurate evaluations and personalised treatment plans for every patient.
Wide Range of Eye Services
The hospital offers a full spectrum of ophthalmic care, including surgery for cataracts, glaucoma, and eyelid issues, as well as treatments for corneal, retinal, and uveitis conditions. Cutting-edge lens technologies are also available to provide tailored solutions for vision correction.
Patients benefit from clear pricing, a full care pathway—from consultation and diagnosis to surgery and aftercare—and short waiting times. Clarity expects to offer treatment within just two weeks of the first consultation.
Flexible appointment slots are available on weekdays and weekends, including daytime and evening options to suit different schedules.
Experienced Leadership and Future Expansion
The hospital is led by Antonia Fox, a seasoned healthcare professional with prior experience managing a specialist eye hospital.
“Being able to see the people and the world around us is something many take for granted,” said Fox. “At Clarity, we’re committed to restoring vision so our patients can reconnect with life and experience the beauty of the world once more.”
She added that the new hospital aims to offer quick, high-quality care tailored to each individual. “We encourage both patients and local healthcare providers—like GPs and opticians—to discover the services we provide.”
The Macclesfield site is Clarity’s first location in England, with a second planned in Wandsworth, London, later this year.
