However, years later, at 52, Amanda began experiencing severe pain and discomfort. She was no longer able to continue working. After a series of tests, she learned the implants were filled with industrial-grade silicone, the kind typically used in mattresses.
Over the next nine years, Amanda underwent six surgeries to correct the damage. Although the issue was eventually resolved, her troubles didn’t end there.
