YouTuber and actor Bhuvan Bam recently addressed growing rumours about his facial appearance after netizens speculated that he had undergone plastic surgery. The debate started on Reddit, where a thread compared his “before and after” photos, suggesting that Bam had changed his facial structure through surgery.
The Reddit post questioned, “Has Bhuvan Bam undergone any sort of surgery? Plastic surgery – doctor gives what God doesn’t,” adding, “So did he undergo any procedure? He looks very different nowadays. Please don’t say it’s diet and ageing. Hahaha, don’t make us fools.”
Bhuvan Bam, known for his YouTube channel “BB Ki Vines,” responded with a humorous clarification. He posted on the thread saying, “Hi doston, Had a great time reading all the comments regarding my ‘surgery’ I also felt the same after looking at my changed facial structure, as if I’ve gone under the knife. But it’s just 60 minutes of cardio and one hour of strength training supported by a strict diet. It does wonders trust me.”
Bam further explained that the second photo in the post was taken almost a decade ago, which naturally explains some changes in his appearance over time. “Also, the second photo is almost a decade old. So naturally, people’s appearance changes,” he added.
He also revealed that a few weeks ago, he underwent lip surgery to remove a painful boil, known as ‘mucocele’. “It had to be removed because I’ve been prepping up for a show and had to be in a certain look,” he explained.
In typical Bhuvan Bam fashion, he ended his response with a lighthearted note: “But thank you for your opinions which are just ‘andhere mein लठ ghumaana’ Take care all. Lots of Love.”
Earlier this year, Bam shared a mirror selfie on social media and wrote, “Kaam jaari kyunki kaam bhaari” (The work continues because the work is heavy). In March, he posted an update saying, “Missed you. Will be back soon. Till then, here’s the recent dump from life, 1. Adjusting to this new look. 2. Random lunch. 3. Got a surgery done. 4. Beautiful reflection of my watch on a flight. 5. Took Dixie for a walk. 6. Had a visitor. ”
On the professional front, Bhuvan Bam was last seen in the Disney+ Hotstar series Taaza Khabar Season 2, which released in September 2024. He has hinted at upcoming projects, but has yet to make any official announcements.
