Sitagu Sakkhu Dana Hospital (Yangon), located in Dagon Myothit (North) Township, will begin its 13th round of free eye care services for the public. Patients seeking treatment can register in person or through a representative starting at 7 a.m. on 20 June.
Registration will take place at the library of Sitagu World Buddhist University (Yangon), near the Bailey Bridge in Dagon Myothit (North) Township.
The hospital reported that, over the previous 12 rounds, a total of 14,815 patients received eye examinations under the guidance of the Sitagu Sayadaw. Among them, 4,496 patients underwent eye surgeries, and 256 received laser treatments to restore their vision.
In addition to the Yangon clinic, Sitagu Sakkhu Dana Hospital in Hsipaw, located in the precinct of Mahamuni Pagoda in Shan State, will also begin offering free eye treatment starting 12 June.
These charitable hospitals operate under the guidance of the Sitagu Sayadaw and are part of a broader network that includes Sitagu Myamyitta Sakkhu Dana Hospital (Pantanaw), as well as hospitals in Hsipaw, Lahe, Thandwe, Thegon, Mindat (Tetlan), Natmauk (Dipinkara), Mawlamyinegyun (Hla San Yin), and Yangon (Shwepyihein).
